There are many new housing projects in Crete, Greece targeting British and Irish expatriates who wish to purchase a place in the sun. Allowing for variations in choice of location, do real estate developers work on a general scale of price, to arrive at the cost per square metre of a newly-built property being offered to foreigners?
Can a general guideline be placed on the cost of adding a swimming pool.
I have been told prices are escalating this year, particularly in Chania at the western end of the island.
It would appear that Crete is a current property hotspot in the Mediterranean where land prices are still comparatively inexpensive compared to competitive locations such as Cyprus, Spain and Italy.
i would imagine they just use a comparitie method of valuation.Ie if a two bed villa in stalis sells for 80,000 grand chances are a similar villa down the road will achieve the same.factors are taken into account mostly location tho
Prices are between 65,000 - 90,000 pounds.
